Privacy policy
Short version: your links never leave your Mac. Snaggy has no account, no server that stores your data, and no analytics.
What stays on your Mac
Everything you save with Snaggy: links, titles, folders, notes, and when you saved or opened them. It lives in a file in your Mac's Application Support folder. We can't see it, and we never receive a copy.
AI sorting runs on your Mac with Apple Intelligence. Nothing you save is sent to us or to any AI service to be sorted.
What Snaggy connects to
- The pages you save. To sort a link, Snaggy reads the start of that page, the same way your browser loads it. To show a site's icon, it asks that site for its favicon. Those requests go only to the website you saved.
- Your browsers. Snaggy asks your browser for the current tab's address and title when you press the shortcut. macOS asks for your permission once per browser.
- Bookmark import. When you import, Snaggy reads your browsers' bookmark files on your Mac. Safari's file needs Full Disk Access, which you grant in System Settings.
- The MCP server, if you turn it on. It only listens on your own Mac and needs the private access key shown in Settings. AI apps you connect, like Claude or Cursor, can then read the links you saved. What those apps do with that information is covered by their own privacy policies.
- Licence activation and updates. When you activate, Snaggy sends your licence key and an anonymous identifier for your Mac to our payment provider, Dodo Payments, to confirm the key is valid. Update checks download a list of new versions from snaggyapp.com.
When you buy Snaggy
Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record. They collect your name, email, billing country and payment details to process the order, send your licence key and handle tax. We receive your email address and order details so we can support you. We never see your full card number. Dodo Payments' own privacy policy covers how they handle this.

Emails you send us
If you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can help you, and delete it when you ask.
Your choices
- Delete any link, or all of them, inside Snaggy at any time. Uninstalling Snaggy and removing its Application Support folder removes everything.
- Export your library as JSON, CSV or HTML bookmarks whenever you like.
- Ask us for a copy of, or to delete, the purchase details we hold by emailing hello@snaggyapp.com.
Children
Snaggy isn't aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be mentioned in the changelog.
